How Chronic Stress is Making You Sick, and What You Can Do About It.
Are you someone who’s always been active, healthy, and functioning at a high level in every aspect of your life, but now you feel tired, lethargic, your body aches, your performance has dropped and you don’t really know why? You suspect the dreaded ‘stress’ might be at the root of it, but you’re not quite sure what to do or what to change.
Science tells us that ‘stress’ is one of the biggest contributors to a whole range of chronic
health challenges from heart disease and cancer, to adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune conditions. However, in order to experience optimal health and vitality, and perform at our best, we need to understand the true nature of stress, how it causes symptoms and health challenges, and crucially what can we do about it. Changing your thoughts, practicing mindfulness, and trying to spend time relaxing is simply not enough to either act on the cause of symptoms or help you reach your potential and experience peace of mind.
This Workshop is for You if…
- You experience fatigue or pain symptoms that your doctor can’t explain or solve
- You are sick and tired of being held back; you can’t exercise properly and your relationships are suffering because you are not ‘yourself’.
- Your are a professional or executive and feel ‘burnt out’: your performance is inhibited and you are not achieving your potential.
- You’ve tried mindfulness, changing your thought patterns, taking supplements and dietary changes, yet despite some positive benefits, you are still some way from where you want to be.
You Are Going To Learn…
- How the stress response can trigger a chain reaction throughout the body and brain resulting in symptoms and a drop in performance and a negative life experience
- The hidden patterns that keep your body locked in a state of stress without you being aware of it
- How to switch off the stress response and turn on your innate self-healing capacities
- The exact principles and practices you need to regain health, vitality and higher consciousness
- The role you playing in creating your life experience and how to redesign your life
I have spent the last 15 years working with doctors, nurses, therapists, and academics investigating the possible causes of fatigue and pain symptoms, and developing a therapeutic and coaching process to facilitate a reversal of symptoms and return to health. On this journey, I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of sufferers of chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia, migraine, post viral fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, and other medically unexplained symptoms, helping them recover their health and return to ‘normal’ life. The
outcome of this is documented in my upcoming book, The Intelligent Body: Reversing Chronic Fatigue and Pain from the Inside-Out, and as a workshop participant you will receive a complimentary hardback copy.
Our 2 day Intelligent Body Workshop will take you on an experiential journey into the book and beyond. We are going delve into the primary cause of your symptoms of fatigue and pain, and teach you the exact principles and practices that will lead to a complete reversal of those symptoms so you can go back to enjoying a fulfilled life experience.
LEADING EDGE SCIENTIFIC evidence suggests that symptoms of fatigue and pain result from changes, irregularities or dysfunctions within the mid-brain and limbic-hypothalamic-pituitary system.
In academic terms, this is known as the HPA axis, and is made up of the hypothalamus gland, located at the base of the brain; the pituitary gland, also located in the brain; and the adrenal glands, located on top of the kidneys. The hypothalamus links the nervous system and the endocrine system, it stimulates the pituitary gland to produce hormones and the adrenal gland to produce cortisol and epinephrine (commonly known as adrenaline).
The HPA axis is a major part of the neuroendocrine system that controls and regulates almost everything to do with human survival; including digestion and appetite, sleep cycles, the immune system, mood and emotions, sexual behavior, body temperature, energy storage, and expenditure. It also communicates with several regions of the brain, including the amygdala, which generates fear in response to danger, and with the hippocampus, which plays an important part in memory formation as well as in mood and motivation. In addition, the HPA axis forms part of a complex feedback system that is constantly responding to the environment both internally and externally. In response to the information it receives, the HPA axis regulates and controls the chemicals and hormones that affect body systems.
So we can begin to see that the autonomic nervous system, immune system, and endocrine system are all affected when there are irregularities within the HPA-axis and other brain regions, and this leads to the question…
What Causes These Irregularities?
The simple answer to this question is stress; when a body is in a perpetual state of stress inflammation occurs throughout body and brain and overactivity is registered in a variety of brain regions, particularly the HPA-axis. We know that stress plays a significant role in many chronic health challenges including heart disease and cancers, but what exactly is it?
In everyday paralance we use the word stress to mean an agitated discomfort, “I’ve had a stressful day at the office”. However, when look at stress from a biological and healthcare perspective, we could define it as an objective measurable set of biochemical events in the body; and crucially your body can be locked in a state of stress without you being aware of it. The other vital piece of information is that emotional trauma and physical trauma, such as an injury or disease, trigger the exact same stress response within the body and brain. This means that you could have a car accident, a virus or experience a relationship breakdown and the stress response that is subsequently triggered in the body is exactly the same.
Chronic stress often exists outside of your awareness and it keeps your body locked in high alert. It is this chronic stress that leads to a re-wiring within brain regions which in turn modulates body systems through the HPA axis leading to inflammation in the body and the presence of symptoms. When irregularities are evident in these brain regions it wreaks havoc throughout the entire body – and this results in the experience of symptoms from mild to severe.
If you are a sufferer of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post Viral Fatigue, Adrenal Fatigue or other medically unexplained symptoms of fatigue, pain or digestive problems, there is a good chance you have tried countless treatments, both conventional and alternative to help you regain your health. However, there is a very good chance that you still experience symptoms and you remain uncertain as to why the symptoms present themselves.
“Chronic fatigue is a damaging modern life illness which continues to bewilder conventional medicine and leave sufferers feeling isolated, confused and helpless. New ideas are needed to help unpick it. Kyle realised this many years ago and has been busy pioneering a new approach to help sufferers like me.
Working with him has quite simply made me feel better. In a calm and gentle way he has helped me to understand and untangle the mess I have found myself in, and my concentration and energy levels have bounced back as a result. He’s helped me to restore my health and happiness and I’m very grateful to him.”

The Intelligent Body Workshop will NOT offer you a detox diet, cleanse, or expensive supplements, you’ve probably already been there and done that. You are not going to be given advice on how to MANAGE symptoms more effectively or promised a miracle cure quick fix.
There are books, programs, and summits available that offer an explanation as to the cause of chronic symptoms of pain, fatigue, and even autoimmune conditions, but few if any of these teach you how to heal. The Intelligent body workshop will not only give you a clear explanation as to the primary cause of symptoms it will also teach you the principles and process by which you can regain optimal health.
As an in-person workshop, you will be mentored and guided in a supportive environment. We understand what you are going through, and so will the other participants. At the end of the 2 days. you will leave with a personalized action plan and we will continue to support and mentor you back to health.
If you are new to Energy-Flow Coaching™ you can join our closed Facebook group by clicking here, and there you will get information and see videos that offer greater insight.
“For nearly two years, I suffered from symptoms commonly referred to as Adrenal Fatigue such as anxiety, insomnia, lack of energy, etc. Kyle helped me identify the true cause of these symptoms which not only allowed me to manage them better, but ultimately allowed me to begin healing my mind and body and rid myself of the symptoms completely. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today if I hadn’t taken the step to work with Kyle and I highly recommend others do the same.”
